Cultural Exchange

EF High School Year

An exchange year abroad for high school students ages 14 to 18

EF High School Year is a program dedicated to the promotion of international understanding through cultural exchange. Teenagers travel to another country, live with a host family and attend a local high school. During their year abroad, students are supported by a network of over 1,000 dedicated International Exchange Coordinators who provide advice and assistance.

Students can choose to travel to the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Spain, Ireland or South Africa. EF High School Year students immerse themselves completely in their new community, and return home with fluency in a new language, an in-depth knowledge of another culture, and wonderful memories to last a lifetime.

Cultural Care Au Pair

Intercultural childcare for American families for au pairs ages 18 to 26

Cultural Care Au Pair is a US government-designated program that offers young people the opportunity to experience America for a year. Au pairs live as family members and attend courses at a local educational institution. In exchange, they provide their host family with up to 45 hours per week of live-in child care. Local Cultural Care representatives ensure that all participants benefit fully from this unique experience.

Through Cultural Care Au Pair, host families are able to bring a little of the world into their homes, and au pairs have the chance of a lifetime to live “the American Dream.”
