Private Day Schools

Students choosing to spend a year or semester in the US, France or United Kingdom can choose to attend a private day school instead of a public school.

You will still have all the advantages of the regular EF High School Year program, where you live in a host family in the community, have your own local support representative(s) in the area as well as help and support from the EF office staff etc.

In most private schools, you will have the possibility to choose from a large selection of subjects, exciting extra-curricular activities, individual attention from your school staff and, in most cases, special language training for non-native English speaking students. The perfect combination of extra support, quality tuition and individual choices.

The tuition cost (which is in addition to the regular high school year program fee) for attending a private day school in the US varies between approximately USD 1.000 and USD 8.000 per school year. When you apply, you only need to let your local EF-office know that you would like to attend a private school and what tuition range you are comfortable with and the placement process will begin!
