EF Homestay
Living in a private home offers a warm and secure way to immerse yourself in the daily life of your new country. Daily contact with your host family will enrich your understanding of local culture and customs. You’ll pick up expressions with greater ease, and your accent will sound more authentic.
Over the years, each EF school location has developed a strong network of local families who welcome international students into their homes. Nearly all our school locations offer the option of a homestay. Our experienced accommodation staff carefully screen every host family application and conduct interviews with prospective families in their homes. Living in a private home provides a little extra assurance for less experienced travellers and provides a safe and supportive base from which to explore your new host city.
Every EF course includes comfortable accommodation and a weekly meal plan. Most EF school locations offer a choice of at least two housing options. Regardless of which lifestyle suits you best, you'll be living around native speakers and immersing yourself in local customs and culture-and putting your language skills to use!

Why Host an EF Student?
We love hosting students. It helps to keep us young! When we meet students we feel like we are keeping in touch with the younger generation while also learning about the world beyond our small island. We enjoy helping students feel at home, so that they become a part of our family. -
Why did you start hosting?
Both of us come from the catering and hotel business, so we love hospitality. When we retired we decided to carry this experience into our home in the form of welcoming international students. And, we are happy that we made this decision – it is very rewarding!
